So Hot...

Holy crap it was so hot this week!  I think it was probably one of the hottest weeks on my mission, haha.  It was pretty good though.

We had Zone conference in Chattanooga on Tuesday at 9:00am Eastern time.  It’s a good drive away, plus we are in Central time, and also had to pick up some other Elders on the way, so we had a 4:00am wake up.  But it was a really good Zone conference.  When we left that afternoon, it was every bit of 102 degrees and humid.

That night we got to Cookeville for exchanges with the ZLs down there.  The rest of Tuesday night and half of Wednesday I was with Elder Stanger from West Point, UT.  He is a good dude, so we got along pretty well.  Then we headed back up to Livingston.

We have been able to continue teaching a few people, and one man named Andy is getting really close to baptism, so we are really excited for him.
Overall things are still going great, and Livingston is great!  This week I got the 'My Plan' email from the church. 'My Plan' is a course given to missionaries to prepare to start going home.  That kinda freaked me out, but it’ll be good I’m sure, haha.

Pretty good week

Hey y'all,

We had a pretty good week here in Livingston.  Just a whole lot of finding as usual.  We were able to teach one of our friends Andy again this week, and he is wanting to get baptized in a few weeks. We just need to help him out with squaring away some Word of Wisdom stuff and we will be good to go.  We are working with a few other people that are consistently reading the Book of Mormon and they really believe in it, which is great. We just need to get them coming to church which has always been the biggest challenge.  But there isn’t a whole lot out of the ordinary to report on. Tomorrow we are headed down to Chattanooga for zone conference so that’ll be fun.  Hope y’all have a good week!

Livingston, TN

It was a good first week here in Livingston!
Elders Roden and Jeppesen

It is a pretty small town so I’m happy about that.  We live in a double wide trailer home with a garage, which is awesome, and we have about an acre of lawn that we are supposed to take of. So, we have a John Deere riding mower as well.  We have a branch of about 40-50 people, and we meet in a part of what was an old Sears building. It’s pretty unique for sure.
Also Elders Jeppesen and Roden (?)

But this week was just getting used to the area. Luckily, Jeppesen and I really get along already, so there wasn’t any adjustment there!  We have been teaching a lot of really cool people already, and I think some good things will be happening here.
