From October 29, 2018:
This week was fun being able to get out and find some new
people to start teaching and start to see this area begin to flourish a little
bit. We have a few new people that we are teaching that we are starting to get
excited about, so I will keep you all updated on that.
WARD TRUNK OR TREAT:
We got invited to participate in the ward Trunk or Treat
party and it was super fun. We got put in charge of cooking all the hot dogs
and judging the chili, haha. Needless to say, it was a rough night in the
apartment that night. But it was a really fun time to be able to unwind for a
little while with the ward and the other elders.
DAYTON FESTIVAL:
We were also invited this week to go up and help out the
Dayton Tennessee branch running a booth at the town's Halloween festival. We
got these cool CTR shirts and just pretty much walked around talking to people
and we had a little survey for them to fill out. Also at the booth there was a
little spinning wheel for kids to win prizes and that kind of thing. At first
when we got there it was pretty cold and cloudy and a little rainy. So we just
kind of tossed the football around for a while until more people came, and then
we were able to talk to a lot of people. It was a pretty successful night, so
hopefully the Dayton Elders appreciate that, haha.
Other than that, there’s not too much else to report on. We have Zone
conference this upcoming week so that should be exciting, even though I have to
give a training, which is kind of trash, but it's okay I guess.
Thanks for all the support I hope you all have a good week
and a fun Halloween!
Elder Roden
